Yasmany Tomas (groin) might not be back for Arizona before break
Arizona Diamondbacks general manager Mike Hazen said Thursday that he's not sure whether outfielder Yasmany Tomas (groin) will be back before the All-Star break.
"We’re just going to see how it goes," Hazen said. "Heat him back up, get him back in games." Prior to going down, Tomas was in a 3-for-25 (.125) slump with 10 strikeouts over a seven-game stretch.
The 26-year-old outfielder is hitting .241/.294/.464 with a .319 wOBA through 180 plate appearances in 2017. He has 8 home runs and 39 RBI while striking out at a career-high 27.8 percent rate.
