Indians' Corey Kluber strikes out 12 in dominant performance

Cleveland Indians starting pitcher Corey Kluber pitched eight innings of one-run ball and struck out 12 in defeating the Texas Rangers on Thursday.

What It Means:

Kluber's only mistake came in the first inning as he allowed a solo shot to Nomar Mazara. He ended up allowing just 3 hits while walking one as he reached double-digit strikeouts for the fourth consecutive start. Kluber finishes the month of June 4-0 with a 1.26 ERA and 64 strikeouts.

Kluber is now 7-2 with a 3.02 ERA, 2.60 FIP, and 11.76 strikeouts per 9 innings over 80 1/3 innings pitched this season.
