New York Mets third baseman Matt Reynolds is batting eighth against the Miami Marlins.
Reynolds is a righty utility infielder who helps the Mets get more righty-heavy while facing Marlins southpaw starter Jeff Locke. He comes in to play third, while Wilmer Flores shifts over to first base to spell lefty Lucas Duda.
In one of the better pitchers' parks in the league at Miami (0.975 park factor), the Mets' batters have a fairly tough outing waiting for them today. The good news is Locke doesn't strike a ton of batters out (10th-lowest rate among Wednesday starters), but he limits fly balls a ton (1.223 ground-to-fly ratio; sixth-lowest).
