Alex Len gets qualifying offer from Phoenix

The Phoenix Suns have extended a qualifying offer to center Alex Len.

What It Means:

Len is now a restricted free agent, but after an inconsistent and underwhelming start to his NBA career, it will be interesting to see which teams are willing to offer Len a long-term deal. The former 5th overall pick is only 24 years-old, but with Tyson Chandler still owning two more years on his contract, and young Alan Williams also a restricted free agent, the Suns will have to think long and hard about matching an offer on Len this summer.

Len averaged 8.0 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks over 20.3 minutes per game. He posted a career-best .553 true shooting percentage last year and his nERD of -0.6 ranked him 259th among all players.
