The New York Yankees have promoted third base prospect Miguel Andujar from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, according to Sirius XM's Craig Mish.
No corresponding move has been announced yet, but this could be a result of Matt Holliday's recent troubles with an allergy-related illness. If that's the case, expect Andujar, the Yankees' ninth-ranked prospect, to take some hacks at DH. He might spell third baseman Chase Headley as well.
In 301 plate appearances spread across Double-A and Triple-A ball, Andujar has 8 home runs, 54 RBI and a .312 average in 2017.
