Aledmys Diaz out of the Cardinals' lineup on Tuesday
St. Louis Cardinals shortstop Aledmys Diaz is not in the lineup against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Tuesday.
What It Means:
It's a routine day off for Diaz, and Paul DeJong will slide over to shortstop while Greg Garcia enters the starting lineup covering second base.
Diaz has only managed a .294 wOBA through 288 plate appearances this season, and his absence isn't much of a blow to the Cardinals' offense, which boasts a 4.68 implied total in tonight matchup with Arizona righty Taijuan Walker.
