Braves interested in trading for Jose Quintana, Chris Archer
The Atlanta Braves are again interested in trading for the Chicago White Sox' Jose Quintana or the Tampa Bay Rays' Chris Archer, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's David O'Brien.
Both pitchers were targets this past winter for the Braves, but the asking prices were too high at the time. The Braves are hoping that the prices come down and they can land one of the two pitchers on reasonable deals. This would only add to the Braves' so-far-successful franchise reboot.
Archer's 3.59 nERD in 104 1/3 innings ranks him third among all pitchers this season. Meanwhile, Quintana sits in a tie for 26th with a mark of 2.80 in 88 1/3 innings.
