Dexter Fowler (heel) placed on the 10-day DL by St. Louis
St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Dexter Fowler (heel) has been placed on the 10-day DL.
What It Means:
Fowler had missed a few games with a quad injury, last week, but suffered a right heel spur injury on Saturday. There is not timetable for his return. Randal Grichuk was called up from the minors in a corresponding move and will see time in center field with Fowler out.
Fowler was batting .245 with a .817 OPS and 40 runs scored in 277 plate appearances this season.
