Twins' Kennys Vargas in the lineup for Monday's road game
Minnesota Twins first baseman Kennys Vargas is in the lineup for Monday's meeting with the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park.
Joe Mauer is getting the night off, and Vargas will take his spot at first base while batting fifth against Boston ace Chris Sale.
The switch-hitting Vargas has an abysmal .168 wOBA on a 14.8% hard-hit rate in 41 plate appearances against lefties this year, and against Sale and his 2.61 SIERA, Vargas offers very little fantasy value.
