Shane Peterson not in Tampa Bay's Sunday lineup
Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Shane Peterson is not in Sunday's lineup.
Peterson has played all of 16 games this year; he's just an outfield reserve for the rotation-heavy Rays. He takes a seat with Corey Dickerson returning to left field from his rest day as the designated hitter, and Trevor Plouffe slots into the DH spot to fill that void.
Despite the power-dampening effects of Tropicana Field (0.956 park factor), the Rays' batters have a great matchup on tap with Baltimore Orioles starter Chris Tillman. Tillman has today's slate third-lowest strikeout rate, sixth-highest walk rate, and ninth-best ground-to-fly ratio.
