Braves' Matt Kemp (hamstring) makes an early exit on Thursday
Atlanta Braves outfielder Matt Kemp made an early exit from Thursday's matchup against the San Francisco Giants due to left hamstring tightness.
This isn't the first time Kemp this season that Kemp has been slowed by hamstring issues. He was pulled after running to first base in the fifth inning, and we'll have a better idea of how long he will be sidelined as well as whether he'll need a disabled list stint after he is reevaluated on Friday.
Assuming he doesn't miss extended time due to this issue, numberFire's models project Kemp to bat .288 and add another 16 home runs and 51 RBI in 333 plate appearances over the remainder of the season.
