Bruce Maxwell starting at catcher for Oakland
Oakland Athletics catcher Bruce Maxwell is starting at catcher as Oakland takes on the Houston Astros on Thursday afternoon.
What It Means:
Maxwell replaces fellow backstop Josh Phegley. He will bat eighth as the A's stare down righty David Paulino.
