Dexter Fowler (quad) out of the Cardinals' lineup against Philly
St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Dexter Fowler (quad) is not in the starting lineup against the Philadelphia Phillies on Thursday.
This was announced before lineups were even released on Thursday, but the official lineup confirms things. Tommy Pham will cover center field for Fowler while Jose Martinez enters the lineup to man left field.
Fowler's .349 wOBA in 2017 is right in line with his .348 career-average, and numberFire's models project him to bat .268 and tally another 11 home runs, 48 runs scored, 7 stolen bases and 40 RBI through 350 plate appearances over the remainder of the season.
