Chris Gimenez starting at catcher for Minnesota on Thursday
Minnesota Twins catcher Chris Gimenez is batting eighth against the Chicago White Sox on Thursday.
Gimenez is taking over from starter Jason Castro today, as the two continue their regular rest-rotation schedule. Gimenez has come into a bit of national notoriety for his position player relief appearances, but sadly those are not much added fantasy impact for the Minnesota backstop.
The Twins have the day's seventh-highest implied total (5.19 runs), playing in an above-average offensive park (1.010 park factor) at Target Field. White Sox starter Jose Quintana also has a fly-ball prone profile (.743 ground-to-fly ball ratio), which bodes well for the Twins' right-handed power hitters.
