Dexter Fowler (quad) to miss Thursday's game for St. Louis
Dexter Fowler (quad) is out of the Cardinals' lineup Thursday afternoon against the Phillies.
Quad tightness forced Fowler to leave Wednesday's game in the 10th inning, and while there's no word yet on how serious the injury is, he has been ruled out before the Cardinals' lineup drops, and it looks like this could land him on the shelf for a couple of games. Look for Tommy Pham to start in Fowler's place on Thursday.
Fowler's .349 wOBA in 2017 is right in line with his .348 career-average, and numberFire's models project him to bat .268 and tally another 11 home runs, 48 runs scored, 7 stolen bases and 40 RBI through 350 plate appearances over the remainder of the season.
