New York Mets catcher Rene Rivera is not in Wednesday's starting lineup.
Rivera simply spelled Travis d'Arnaud on Tuesday, but he'll return to the bench with the starter back in the lineup today.
The Mets' batters have the second-lowest implied total on the slate today (3.71 runs), due to Chavez Ravine's power-dampening effect (.899 park factor). That should minimize any damage that Los Angeles Dodgers starter Rich Hill's walk rate (14.7 percent; highest on slate) and ground-to-fly ball ratio (.627; sixth-most fly ball-prone) would normally allow.
