Mallex Smith back in the Rays' lineup, batting leadoff Wednesday
Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Mallex Smith is back in the starting lineup against the Cincinnati Reds on Wednesday.
Smith got the day off on Tuesday, and his return to left field sends Corey Dickerson to the designated hitter spot while Trevor Plouffe covers third base and Evan Longoria heads to the bench. Smith will bat leadoff against Reds' righty Tim Adleman.
Smith has opened 2017 with a .377 wOBA through 73 plate appearances, and numberFire's models project him for 11.0 FanDuel points while priced at only $2,700 this afternoon, making him a very strong value option on the early or all-day slates.
