Padres' Yangervis Solarte scratched Tuesday with oblique strain
San Diego Padres second baseman Yangervis Solarte was scratched from the lineup Tuesday due to a strained right oblique.
Solarte was in the team's official lineup but was removed from the game before stepping foot on the field. The initial diagnosis of an oblique strain carries a four-to-six week recovery, making it likely Solarte will be placed on the DL. Chase d'Arnaud filled in against the Chicago Cubs Tuesday.
Solarte has slashed .268/.349/.425 with a .333 wOBA, 10 home runs and 40 RBI in 289 plate appearances this season.
