Baltimore's J.J. Hardy out with fractured wrist
Baltimore Orioles shortstop J.J. Hardy has a non-displaced fracture in his right wrist and will miss four to six weeks.
What It Means:
Hardy was struck by a fastball during Sunday's game against the St. Louis Cardinals. The timetable projects Hardy's return for mid-August. While he's recovering, Ruben Tejada will step in to more of an everyday role.
Hardy is slashing .211/.248/.308 through 64 games this season.
