Mariners getting Hisahsi Iwakuma (shoulder) back next weekend
Seattle Mariners starting pitcher Hisashi Iwakuma (shoulder) will return to the rotation on either Saturday or Sunday.
The Mariners are getting two of their veteran arms back as Iwakuma will join Felix Hernandez in the rotation as the club faces the Houston Astros. Seattle hasn't announced who they are replacing, but Christian Bergman and Sam Gaviglio are the most likely candidates. Iwakuma has been out since May 3 with shoulder discomfort.
Iwakuma posted a 5.73 SIERA and just a 12.5% strikeout rate in his 6 starts (31 innings) this season.
