Cincinnati Reds second baseman Scooter Gennett is not in Friday's starting lineup against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Gennett got the start on Wednesday, but Zack Cozart's presence will force him back to the bench. With Gennett out, Jose Peraza will play second base for the Reds.
With 7 homers and a .290 average to data, Gennett is projected for 7 more dingers and a .272 average the rest of the season.
