Khris Davis' walkoff single leads the Athletics to victory
Oakland Athletics outfielder Khris Davis swatted a two-run walkoff single in the 10th inning to lift the A's to an 8-7 win over the New York Yankees on Thursday.
It was the only hit of the day for Davis, and he made it count, hitting a Giovanny Gallegos offering into right field to drive in Rajai Davis and Chad Pinder to come back from a 7-6 deficit to win the game.
Davis has hit for a .244/.325/.496 slash with a .345 wOBA this year, and numberFire's models project him to hit .255 while adding another 21 home runs and 56 RBI in 352 plate appearances over the remainder of the season.
