Tom Murphy (forearm) activated from DL, starting at catcher for Rockies
The Colorado Rockies activated catcher Tom Murphy (forearm) from the 10-day DL and have in the lineup on Thursday.
Murphy is prepared to make his 2017 debut for Colorado after being sidelined with a hairline fracture in his arm since spring training. He is giving regular catcher Tony Wolters a day off as he faces Matt Moore and the San Francisco Giants. Ryan Hanigan was demoted to Triple-A in a corresponding move.
With the Rockies back home in Coors, they have the most favorable park factor (1.338) and the highest implied run total of the night (6.05). All Rockies hitters, Murphy included, should be in line for a productive night against the struggling Moore.
