Twins' Jose Berrios gives up two runs in eight innings on Thursday
Minnesota Twins pitcher Jose Berrios threw eight innings and gave up just two runs in a 6-2 win over the Seattle Mariners.
Berrios had lasted no more than 6 1/3 in his last four starts, but he shined against the Mariners on Thursday afternoon. By striking out 6 and walking just a single batter, this was, by far, his best showing of the season.
In 6 starts, Berrios has a 5-1 record, 45 strikeouts and 14 walks. Our rest-of-year projections expect the 23-year-old to win 3 more games and fan 45 more batters.
