The New York Mets placed starting pitcher Matt Harvey on the 10-day disabled list with a right shoulder injury.
Harvey, specifically, has a stress injury to the scapula bone in his right shoulder. He was given a plasma rich injection on Thursday and will rest for a few weeks before resuming a throwing program. Expect Harvey to be out until late-July/August at the earliest.
Before news of the injury, our models projected Harvey for a 4.55 ERA and 72 strikeouts over 100 2/3 innings pitched the rest of the season.
