Boston's Hanley Ramirez not in the lineup on Thursday
Boston Red Sox designated hitter Hanley Ramirez is not in the starting lineup on the road against the Philadelphia Phillies on Thursday.
Boston doesn't get a designated hitter on the road in Philadelphia, and while Ramirez filled in at first base for Mitch Moreland (toe) on Wednesday, Moreland is back in the lineup tonight, sending Ramirez to the bench.
Ramirez has only managed a .325 wOBA with 9 home runs and 26 RBI through 56 games, though he has a strong 37.8% hard-hit rate, and numberFire's models project him to hit .266 and to tally another 14 home runs and 52 RBI in 362 plate appearances over the remainder of the season.
