Mets' Neil Walker (leg) removed from Wednesday's game
New York Mets second baseman Neil Walker (leg) made an early exit from Wednesday's game against the Chicago Cubs.
Walker hurt himself running to first base in the third inning, and he was helped off the field. He'll undergo an MRI on Thursday that will give us a better idea of how serious the injury is, but at this point a trip to the disabled list would not be at all surprising.
Walker has had a solid season for the Mets, with a .350 wOBA with 9 home runs and 33 RBI through 254 plate appearances, and before the injury, numberFire's models projected him to hit .279 with 8 more home runs and 28 RBI in 222 plate appearances over the remainder of the season.
