Boston Red Sox outfielder Andrew Benintendi is starting in left field on Wednesday against the Philadelphia Phillies.
With National League rules in effect for tonight, Mitch Moreland is sitting this one out as Hanley Ramirez takes over at first base. That leaves a big bat out of the lineup for Boston, so they have elected to put Benintendi in the cleanup role against righty Jeremy Hellickson.
