New York Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia (hamstring) will likely land on the 10-day disabled list, per manager Joe Girardi.
Sabathia strained his left hamstring in his start against the Los Angeles Angels on Tuesday, forcing him to leave that game after four innings. The 36-year-old will undergo an MRI on Wednesday, and we'll have a better idea of how long he may be sidelined when those results come out.
While Sabathia's 3.46 ERA is solid, his peripherals haven't been great this year, posting a 4.30 SIERA while allowing a 32.7% hard-hit rate -- matching his career-high -- through 13 starts. Before the injury, numberFire's models projected him for a 4.49 ERA and 1.35 WHIP in 68 innings over the remainder of the season.
