Royals will start Matt Strahm on Thursday
The Kansas City Royals will start pitcher Matt Strahm Thursday versus the Los Angeles Angels.
The Royals are pulling rookie Eric Skoglund from the rotation after a pair of rough outings. Strahm, who has been working out of the bullpen this season, will take his place and have a good chance to stick in the rotation long-term. He will be limited to 70 pitches as he gets stretched out in his first start on Thursday.
Strahm started 18 games for Double-A in 2016, posting a 3.43 ERA and 1.22 WHIP, while striking out 107 in 102 1/3 innings pitched.
