Denard Span back in the lineup, batting leadoff for the Giants
San Francisco Giants outfielder Denard Span is back in the lineup against the Kansas City Royals on Tuesday.
Span got the day off on Sunday, but he'll be back in center field and batting leadoff against Royals' southpaw Jason Vargas for today's series-opener. His return will send Gorkys Hernandez back to the bench.
Span has an ugly .247 wOBA against southpaws this season (and a .308 overall), and even batting leadoff in a plus matchup against Vargas, he doesn't offer much fantasy value.
