Kyle Hendricks (hand) ruled out for the weekend by Chicago
Chicago Cubs starting pitcher Kyle Hendricks (hand) has been ruled out for the weekend.
Hendricks continued to experience soreness in his hand after a throwing session on Tuesday. The Cubs want to keep him sidelined until he is pain-free, ruling him out for a return from the DL this weekend. Mike Montgomery will continue to take Hendricks place in the rotation until he is ready to return.
Hendricks has posted a 4.09 ERA, 1.20 WHIP, and 51 strikeouts in 61 2/3 innings pitched this season.
