Orioles' Chris Davis (oblique) likely to be placed on the disabled list

Baltimore Orioles first baseman Chris Davis (oblique) is expected to be placed on the 10-day disabled list, per Jon Morosi of MLB Network.

What It Means:

Davis made an early exit with a right oblique strain on Monday, and manager Buck Showalter suggested he was likely to land on the 10-day disabled list. Look for Trey Mancini and Mark Trumbo to pick up some additional starts at first base in Davis' absence.

Davis has been fairly quiet from the dish this year, with a .332 wOBA, and replacing him with Trumbo (.316 wOBA) and Mancini (.363 wOBA) shouldn't hurt the Orioles' offense too much.
