Astros put Lance McCullers (lower back) on the disabled list
The Houston Astros placed starting pitcher Lance McCullers on the 10-day disabled list with lower back discomfort.
McCullers felt some discomfort during his bullpen session and the team is taking no risks. He will miss at least his next scheduled start in hopes to return to the rotation soon after his stint on the DL.
Assuming he only misses one time through the rotation, our models project McCullers for a 3.49 ERA with 118 strikeouts over 116.1 innings remaining this season.
