Giancarlo Stanton (hand) likely back Tuesday for Marlins
Miami Marlins outfielder Giancarlo Stanton (hand) is expected to return to the lineup Tuesday following Monday's off day.
Stanton was held out of the starting lineup Sunday after being forced to leave early Saturday with a bruised right hand. Look for the 27-year-old slugger to get back in action Tuesday for the first matchup of a two-game home set with the Oakland Athletics. Ichiro Suzuki started in right field for Miami on Sunday while Stanton struck out in his lone pinch-hit appearance in a 3-1 loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates.
numberFire's models project Stanton to record a .266 batting average with 19 home runs, 56 RBI and 45 runs scored in 352 plate appearances over the rest of the season.
