Joe Mauer starting, batting second for Twins on Sunday
Minnesota Twins first baseman Joe Mauer is starting on Sunday and batting second against the San Francisco Giants.
Mauer was out of the lineup yesterday so that Kennys Vargas could make the start. Playing at San Francisco, there is no DH available to the American League visitors.
The Twins have one of the lowest implied totals (4.11 runs) today, but Giants' starter Matt Cain has been very forgiving with strikeouts (14.5 percent; fourth-lowest) and walks (9.3 percent; sixth-highest).
