Pirates' Pedro Alvarez out of lineup Tuesday against Marlins
Pittsburgh Pirates first baseman Pedro Alvarez is out of the lineup Tuesday as the Pirates face the Miami Marlins.
Michael Morse will bat sixth and play first base in Alvarez's absence. With Jordy Mercer and Josh Harrison fresh off the disabled list, the Pirates have plenty of infield depth.
Morse has had a tough season thus far, posting a .225/.295/.319 slash with a 30.5 strikeout percentage. That is coupled with a 34.7 percent hard-hit rate, but our projections still have Morse as the second-lowest-producing first baseman on FanDuel Tuesday.
