Astros' Dallas Keuchel (neck) to be shut down for one week
Houston Astros pitcher Dallas Keuchel (neck) will be shut down from throwing for a week.
Keuchel was a late scratch earlier this week for what the team said was an illness, but he was eventually placed on the disabled list (DL) with a neck ailment, his second DL trip this season for a neck issue.
When healthy, Keuchel has been superb this season, sporting a 2.99 SIERA, 24.4% strikeout rate and 6.4% walk rate while getting his usual insane amount of grounders (67.4% ground-ball rate, which leads the league and is a career high). We project him to post a 3.57 ERA with 77 strikeouts over 108 1/3 frames the rest of the way.
