Tampa Bay's Kevin Kiermaier (hip) on crutches after Thursday's game

Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Kevin Kiermaier (hip) was seen on crutches after Thursday night's meeting against the Chicago White Sox.

What It Means:

He made an early exit from Thursday's game after jamming his hip while running the bases in the fifth inning, and we'll have a better idea of how long he may be sidelined after he undergoes examination on Friday. Look for Colby Rasmus to start in his place for Friday's meeting with the Oakland Athletics and righty Andrew Triggs.

Rasmus has an outstanding batted-ball profile against righties this season, with a 42.3 percent hard-hit rate, 13.5 percent soft-hit rate and 47.1 percent fly-ball rate, and he'll offer a lot of fantasy upside in that matchup with Triggs.
