Deven Marrero not in Red Sox's Thursday lineup
Boston Red Sox third baseman Deven Marrero is not in the lineup on Thursday.
Marrero was simply stepping in on Wednesday to aid the lefty-mashing lineup. He's seen some run at second base the Red Sox scramble to solve the hole left by Dustin Pedroia's absence, but when Josh Rutledge and Pablo Sandoval are both healthy and hitting, there's not room for him. Sandoval is starting at third on Thursday.
Marrero is slashing a paltry .159/.198/.305 with 3 home runs, 15 runs, and 11 RBI in 87 plate appearances this year.
