Detroit Tigers shortstop Jose Iglesias is getting the day off against the Los Angeles Angels on Thursday.
Iglesias will be replaced at shortstop this afternoon by Dixon Machado, who will bat out of the nine-hole.
Iglesias is batting .244/.274/.366 with a .276 wOBA and 17 RBI through 47 games (180 plate appearances) in 2017.
