CC Sabathia fires eight shutout innings in Yankees' win
New York Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia dealt eight shutout innings as the Yanks cruised to an 8-0 win over the Boston Red Sox on Wednesday.
Sabathia allowed only five hits and no walks while fanning five in the outing, giving him his fifth-straight win and bringing him to 7-2 on the year.
Sabathia boasts a 3.66 ERA, 4.32 SIERA, 19.3 percent strikeout rate, 7.7% walk rate and 1.26 WHIP through 12 starts (71 1/3 innings pitched) in 2017.
