Rangers' Adrian Beltre (ankle) out of the Wednesday lineup
Texas Rangers third baseman Adrian Beltre (ankle) is not in Wednesday's starting lineup.
Beltre sprained his left ankle while legging out a ball in the first inning of Tuesday's game. X-rays were negative, but he was in a walking boot following the contest. A short disabled list stint is a possibility. For Wednesday, Joey Gallo takes over the hot corner and Ryan Rua is at first base.
In an already injury-hampered 2017, Beltre was slashing .385/.452/.615 with 1 homer, 3 runs, and 6 RBI in 31 plate appearances.
