Rockies' Ian Desmond starting in left field against Cleveland
Colorado Rockies outfielder Ian Desmond is in the starting lineup against the Cleveland Indians on Wednesday afternoon.
What It Means:
With Gerardo Parra (quad) heading to the disabled list, Desmond will likely see plenty of starts over the next couple weeks. He will be manning left field and batting sixth against Cleveland righty Trevor Bauer today.
Desmond has struggled from the dish in 2017, slashing .262/.292/.377 with a .286 wOBA over 138 plate appearances.
