Oakland's Matt Joyce diagnosed with left quad strain
Oakland Athletics outfielder Matt Joyce has been diagnosed with a left quad strain.
Joyce is missing his second consecutive game on Tuesday with the quad strain the team considers minor. The 32-year-old is likely to miss Wednesday's game as well. Mark Canha filled in on Monday with Chad Pinder handling right field duties on Tuesday.
Joyce is off to a slow start to his season, batting .194 with a .295 wOBA in 183 plate appearances. He has 7 home runs, 25 RBI, and 19 runs scored this season.
