Seattle Mariners first baseman Danny Valencia is batting second on Tuesday versus the Minnesota Twins.
Valencia has batted fifth or lower in 43-of-47 games started this season. However, with the way he is swinging the bat lately, the Mariners have moved him up in the lineup hoping to generate more runners on base for the team's sluggers.
Valencia is 19-for-46 (.413) with 8 runs scored in his last 50 plate appearances (12 games).
