Blue Jays' Darwin Barney starting at second base against Oakland
Toronto Blue Jays second baseman Darwin Barney will draw the start against the Oakland Athletics on Monday.
What It Means:
Devon Travis is out of the lineup after taking a pitch to the wrist on Sunday, and while he doesn't have any serious injuries, Barney will take his place at second base and bat eighth against Oakland lefty Sean Manaea on Tuesday.
Barney's numbers from the dish this year have been pretty unimpressive, slashing .234/.261/.297 with a .245 wOBA through 116 plate appearances.
