Eduardo Rodriguez (knee) likely to miss 3-4 weeks for Boston
Boston Red Sox pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez (knee) will likely be shut down for 3-4 weeks, per Evan Drellich of CSN New England.
The recommendation for his shutdown comes from Dr. James Andrews after Rodriguez tweaked his knee during warmups last Thursday. If he doesn't heal completely during the shutdown period, he will likely require surgery, which would require a 5-6 month recovery.
Rodriguez has posted a 3.54 ERA, 3.81 SIERA, 26.3 percent strikeout rate, 8.5 percent walk rate and 1.15 WHIP through 11 games (61 innings pitched) in 2017.
