Nationals resting Jayson Werth (foot) on Sunday
Washington Nationals outfielder Jayson Werth (foot) is out of the starting lineup on Sunday against the Oakland Athletics.
Werth fouled a ball off his foot Saturday and could barely run down to first before he was pulled from the game for a pinch-runner. He's day-to-day right now. Brian Goodwin is starting in his place on Sunday, and Bryce Harper is back in the lineup as well.
Werth owns a .353 wOBA with eight homers, 18 RBI's and 28 runs scored over 196 plate appearances in 2017.
