Victor Martinez not in the lineup Sunday for Tigers
Detroit Tigers designated hitter (DH) Victor Martinez is not in the lineup for Sunday's clash with the Chicago White Sox.
It appears to be a day of rest, although it's a tough break for Martinez as the Tigers are taking on struggling lefty David Holmberg. J.D. Martinez is filling the DH slot while Mikie Mahtook plays right field.
Somehow, V-Mart just keeps getting it done as he ages. In his age-38 campaign, he's sporting a career-best 40.6% hard-hit rate with a 36.5% fly-ball rate. Hitting in the middle of one of the game's premier offenses, Martinez should continue to put up useful fantasy numbers the rest of the way.
